JOHN’S MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION – BLOG STATS

It may not be “Magnificent” but it’s definitely an obsession! John is obsessed with our Blog Stats!

As we mentioned earlier, we used a company recommended by John’s “Computer Guy” to setup our Blog. The Blogs and Photos posted as we travel are all ours, but the company set up our Blog and created the “Home Page” from info we gave them. Although we are pleased with the Blog they created for us, they work primarily with company websites so there are a few things that don’t exactly fit our purpose or were unexpected. One feature we didn’t anticipate was a compilation of stats - how many views, how many distinct viewers/computers, how long people look. The numbers have exceeded anything we anticipated. I find it interesting, but John finds it fascinating! The first thing in the morning, he checks the numbers. Before he goes to bed, he checks the numbers. Several times during the day, he looks at the numbers! I find it a little disconcerting to not know exactly who is reading the Blog – that’s why we decided not to post personal photos (like those Formal Night pictures promised). Hope everyone who reads our Blog is enjoying it.
